The fear of growing up
The fear of growing up is a personal exploration of the fear and uncertainty that come with growing up. Made from archived photos and original footage, the film reflects on memory, identity, and the quiet sense of loss that comes with change. Through abstract visuals and a haunting atmosphere, it captures the emotional weight of leaving parts of yourself behind.
The Good & The Bad
Not all influences we have are always positive. We are often influenced by things that impact us in a negative way. Some people come in and out of our lives who impact us positively and negatively. Recognising people who influence us negatively is essential to become better versions of ourselves. My work represents how people have influenced me during COVID-19 and in 2023 and who will affect me in the future. A number represents each person.
The Waiting Room
The game women never wanted to play. This board game shines a light on the frustrating and often absurd barriers women face when trying to access healthcare. Today, over 630,000 women in the UK are waiting for reproductive health support, and conditions like endometriosis take an average of 7–8 years to diagnose, with 40% of women needing 10 or more GP visits before they’re even referred to a specialist. Many are dismissed, told their pain is “normal,” or sent home with “just take two paracetamol.” In this game, you’ll step into that experience to raise awareness, spark meaningful conversations, and challenge the system that too often fails women. As you navigate delays, denials, and dead ends on the road to care, remember: the time it takes to finish this game is nothing compared to the years of waiting and frustration many women endure. Every scenario in the game is based on real-life experiences shared by women.
